Sharon Stephenson, 73, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Stephenson was born on August 20th, 1947 to Floyd H. Johnson and Georgie Chapman Johnson.
Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her husband Bobby Stephenson; son Todd Stephenson (Juli); five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and siblings Rachael Webb, Dean Baugher, and Houston Johnson.
Preceded in death by her son Michael Stephenson; parents Floyd Johnson and Georgie Johnson; and sisters Helen Abernathy, and Marcel Williams.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stephenson will be Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Dwight Ridinger and Jesse Woodby officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Myers Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Stephenson are Heath Stephenson, Brad Johnson, Jason Williams, Corey Looney, Brandon Coan, and Colby Looney. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Thomas, Hunter Stephenson, and Halston Stephenson.
Mrs. Stephenson loved flower beds and gardening, cleaning, and spoiling family. She was a member of Seven Mile Post Road Church.
