Sharon “Sheri” Nyman Turner, 80, passed away on October 24, 2024, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS, surrounded by her family. She was born December 25, 1943, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Lyle Nyman and Marjorie Galentine Nyman. Sheri graduated from high school in California and received a degree in Cosmetology. She was a homemaker, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly.
Sheri’s passion was sewing and quilting, and she had very talented hands. She was extremely gifted at how quickly she could pick up crafting skills, such as tatting, embroidery and crocheting. She loved to go thrift shopping, to go antiquing and always wanted to find a Goodwill store wherever she might be.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mamie Nelson of Ashland, and Bonnie Ramirez (Tommy) of California, one son Byron Nelson, of California, three sisters, Lou Ann Kehoe, of Tennessee, Laurie Medina, of Georgia, and Lee Wurzbach, of Wisconsin, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Nyman.
