Mrs. Sharon Rosella Grace Elam, 77, of Morrison, Tennessee was born at home on May 02, 1947 in Oakdale, TN (Morgan County) and passed away on September 04, 2024 at the Webb House in McMinnville, TN. She was a member of The Shady Grove Baptist Church of Christ and retired as a teacher in the Warren County School System spending most of her years teaching at Morrison Elementary. Sharon enjoyed reading, watching TV, and spent her last summer before getting married as a part of the Baptist Missionary Board serving the youth in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Service Society, a member of the American Association of University Women, a member of the Warren County Retired Teachers, and sponsored the Jr. Beta Club and the National Honor Society.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years 3 months and 3 days Mike Elam, sons Mickey Elam and Josh Elam, brother Ronnie (Betty) Grace, sister Kay (David) Clabo, grandson Ian Elam, In-Laws David (Brenda) Elam, Jeff (Kathy) Elam, and Jay (Debbie) Elam, as well as several nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Huston and Elma Iola Headrick Grace, infant daughter, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rayford and Vada Elam, sister-in-law Wanda Elam, and nephew Richard Grace.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 07, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Keith Sims will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family of Sharon Elam will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
