Sharon Regina Sandlin Phillips, age 73, of Sumiton, passed from this life to her home in Heaven on Aug 20, 2021 at her home.
Regina is a graduate of Dora High School, class of 1966. She was a business woman in Sumiton for approximately 50 years. She loved her work as a hairdresser and made countless friends over the years. She is a member of Sumiton Church of God. Regina was preceded in death by her father, James G. Sandlin; father-in-law, Lester Phillips, and her brother-in-law, Robert Phillips.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy C. Phillips; son James Anthony Phillips, mother, Mozelle Sandlin Barnett; mother-in-law, Kathlene C. Phillips; sister, Shelia Gravlee (David) sister-in-law, Nancy Phillips, nephews, Steven Gravlee (Amy) and Brannon Gravlee (Lisa) Nieces Susan Phillips (Jay), and Stephanie Phillips (Brian) as well as several special and loved great-nieces, nephews and many special lifelong friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her friends, caregivers and doctors wo have been by her side for the past four years.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with burial following in McCormack Cemetery. Rev. Lane Sargent officiating.
