Sharon Nix Mays, age 80 of Albertville passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her home.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Pullen and John Nowak will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Evan Nixon, Matthew Nixon, Griffin Nixon, Adam Bearden, Mark Knauss and John Nowak. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 before the service.
She is survived by her daughters; Suzanne Mays, Beth Nixon and Terri Nowak (John), grandchildren; Evan Nixon (Hallie), Matthew Nixon (Ella Jones), Griffin Nixon, Johnathon Nowak (Stacy), Lauren Bearden (Adam) and Katy Knauss (Mark) and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special niece and caregiver; Beverly Tidwell.
She is preceded in death by her husband; James Mays, parents; Freeman and Essie Nix, brother; Samuel Nix and sister; Bobbie Hyde.
