Sharon KellySharon Gillentine Kelly, age 75, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born September 2, 1948 in Tupelo, Sharon was the daughter of George Allen and Ethel Deason Gillentine. She was employed at the North Mississippi Medical Center where she worked in the food and nutrition department, retiring after 23 years. Sharon was a faithful member of NorthStar Church, attending until the day she went home to be with the Lord. She was the wife of Charles Kelly who she married on May 8, 2004.She enjoyed being outdoors enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, but her heart and soul was poured into the family she adored. Sharon loved to give and thought of her family members far above her own needs. She cherished every moment spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 19 years, Charles Kelly; two daughters, Sherry Macon (William) of Plantersville and Brenda Gilbert (Allan) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Chip Riner (Kari) of Plantersville, Dalton Riner (Brittany) of Guntown, Hunter Gilbert (Cheyenne) of Fulton, and Jacob Gilbert of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; five great-grandchildren, Keegan, Alayna, Charlie Jade, Austin, and Davis; her sister, Rebecca Carlton of Plantersville; and three stepchildren, Stanley Kelly (Kimberly), Charlie Kelly (Jodie), and Angie Owen (Don).

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Austin Riley.

Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring Sharon’s memory will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Pastor Terry Ledbetter officiating. Music will be provided by Scott Lentz. Graveside services will follow at Gilvo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Kelly, Charlie Kelly, David Drake, Scotty West, Moe Leslie, and Lamadrick Macon.
