Sharon Ann Blackburn, 76, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Red Bay, AL to Luther Woodrow and Pearl Holland Gentry. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Bay, AL.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 26, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. J.C. Blackburn and Bro. Bill Harper officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two children, Michael Blackburn (Leisa) and Melissa Ehler (Johnny); two grandchildren, Lauren Ehler and Audrey Ehler and one sister Peggy Gentry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Blackburn; her parents; one brother, John Gentry and two sisters, Pernie Danley and Sarah Ann Gentry.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Danley, Paul Danly, Trent Danley, Chris Morrow, Murray Morrow and Jacob Lentz.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 25, 6-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
