Shane Clark Shane Clark, 62, passed away on Friday, February 10 at his residence in Columbia, TN. He was born on February 7,1961 in Chicago. Visitation will be held at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15 from 4-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. He was the son of Carolyn (Ray) Lofton of Columbia and the late Douglas Clark of Belvidere, TN. He was married to Tara Hunter Clark for 13 years who he called the love of his life. Shane was the owner of Clark Home Improvement and a resident of Columbia for 61 years.

 

Shane loved history. He worked on many home improvement jobs but was most proud of his work on some antebellum homes in the area such as the Athenaeum, Elm Springs, Hamilton Place, Manor Hall and Rippa Villa. In his free time, Shane enjoyed going to the lake, relaxing on a beach, driving a Jeep in the mountains and spending time with his family.

 

Survivors include his brother Chris (Connie) Clark of Tullahoma, his sister Carrie Ann Phillips of Winchester, his children Allen (Samm) Clark of Culleoka, Ben Clark of Columbia, Holden Marshall of Chattanooga, Owen Brown of Columbia, Olivia Brown of Columbia and his nieces Alli Clark of Tullahoma and Sarah Douglass Phillips of Louisville, KY. He is survived by three grandchildren Suzie, Daisy, and Raleigh Clark of Culleoka and other family members including the employees of Clark Home Improvement.

 

In addition to his father, he is proceeded in death by his grandparents Ann and Porter Wiley of Columbia and Herbert and Estelle Clark of Belvidere as well as his nephew Jodi Rodgers of Tullahoma.

 

The family would like to express a special thank you to Caris Healthcare and to Maury Regional Hospital for their care of Shane during his illness. The family appreciates the meals and the care and concern that was extended to them by other family and friends.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shane’s name to the Maury County Animal Shelter, 1233 Mapleash Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401.
