Senior Program Officer Christine Williams says, “because of the overwhelming response to the
first workshop last year we have decided to host another workshop to give those who did not have the
opportunity to attend last time a second chance.” The workshops will be held on Thursday, April 30,
2015 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at Kratos Defense, 4904 Research Drive Huntsville, AL 35805.
Non-profit and faith-based organization leaders, along with the general public are invited to attend a free
workshop hosted by Serve Alabama, in partnership with the United Way of Madison County. The workshops
will focus on grant writing and asking for funding. The interactive grant workshop will provide
basic skills needed to prepare a professional, persuasive, and viable grant proposal written to benefit an
organization. The making the ask workshop will give participates an opportunity to learn and practice
the art of fundraising.
