Alabama State Senator District 6 Dr. Larry Stutts

TUSCUMBIA-During the 2017 legislative session, State Sen. Larry Stutts (R) supported the largest appropriation for education in state history. The state has had eight consecutive budgets without proration.

On Oct. 3, 2018, Stutts presented Superintendent Greg Hamilton of Franklin County Schools with $18,400. These funds come from the state education budget and from competitive education grants.

“I fight for dollars in Montgomery for schools in my district,” Stutts said. “I will continue to advocate for appropriating funds for the schools in my constituency. It is vital that the state provide the necessary resources to school districts. The students in northwest Alabama deserve the highest level of resources and opportunities, and I remain committed to this important work.”

“I would like to thank Dr Stutts for the donation to the Franklin County School System. This money will be used to help with projects throughout the system. It is very much appreciated,” said Greg Hamilton, Superintendent.
