FLORENCE– The Florence Police Department has done it again. In less than five days they have arrested a Florence teen for auto theft. Here is the story from the Florence Police Department Facebook page:
Codi James Sanderson, 19, of Florence was arrest early this morning and charged with stealing an automobile. This marks the second time in less than 5 days that Sanderson has been arrested for and charged with motor vehicle theft. On 09-26-13, police responded to North Chisholm Road after a theft victim located their stolen truck. After speaking with investigators Sanderson was charged with Theft 1st related to the vehicle and two counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle related to two cases in Lauderdale County. Sanderson bonded out of jail a short time later and is now accused of stealing a vehicle from Regency Square Mall in Florence. At or about 9 pm Florence Police responded to a stolen vehicle at Regency Square Mall. Alabama State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on County Road 224 shortly before 11pm last night. Their investigation determined that the vehicle involved in the crash was stolen from Florence and led them to ECM hospital where Sanderson was receiving treatment. After speaking with police Sanderson was charged with Theft 1st. Sanderson is currently being held in the LCDC.
