Florence, AL-Everyone likes a success story and we’ve got several! Hosted by Community Action Agency of Northwest Alabama, Children’s Trust Fund of Alabama and the U.S. Dept of Health Human Services’ division of Administration of Children and Families as a service of its Northwest Alabama Responsible Parenting Program, the first Northwest Alabama Job Fair held at Regency Square Mall on June 20th of this year not only had hundreds of job applicants in attendance, but resulted in several jobs being filled. Don’t believe us, these are the facts…the District Manager of a very popular store took over 100 applications, and hired their current Assistant Manager, who applied during the Fair, and also hired several part-time and full-time employees. A local Call Center hired 10 applicants, a food retailer hired 4 applicants out of the 20 applications that were submitted!
There is still a need for jobs – as a service to the community, the second Northwest Alabama Job Fair will once again take place at Center Court, Regency Square Mall on Wednesday, September 19th from 10am-3pm. More than 20 of the best-known employers in the Northwest Alabama area will be on-site. Limited WiFi will be provided by Verizon Wireless and the Fair is free to the public.
