Sebie Rel Winfrey, III Profile Photo It is with great sadness that the family of Sebie Rel Winfrey, III, announce his sudden passing on September 3, 2024.

Sebie was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Red and Bessie Maddox, his aunt Jeraldine Maddox, his uncle Jimmy Maddox, his cousin Meagan Harris.

Sebie is survived by his mother, Shirlie Jean Winfrey, his aunt, Eulene Langley, his cousins, Patrick and Shari Millican, Taylor Millican, Ethan Millican and many other family and friends.

Sebie was born November 4, 1965. He moved from Addison, AL to Huntsville, AL in 1971. He graduated from Butler High School in 1983. He earned an AA from Calhoun College. Sebie worked for the United States Post Office. Sebie was very intelligent and had an inquisitive and thoughtful mind. He was a lover of learning, especially anything about history, political science, the history of war and firearms.

Sebie also loved traveling out west and had visited many western states. Sebie will aways be remembered for his sweet and loving heart. He was a loving and devoted son to his mother and truly enjoyed spending time with her engaging in their mutual interests. He was a much-loved grandson to his grandparents. They had a very special bond. Sebie will be fondly and forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison Alabama from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., where service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Reverend Robert Partridge will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Millican, Billy Burnett, Phillip Privett, Freddy Milford and Bill Graves. Honorary pallbearer will be Eric Morgenstern.
