Creighton Koon
DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 2303 Clearview Place SW in Decatur. Here is how the Police Department describe the events:
“During the past few months the Decatur Police Department received numerous complaints about drug activity at 2303 Clearview Place Southwest Decatur, Al. The complaints included the usage and sells of Heroin and scheduled prescription drugs.
In response, the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit started an investigation into the activities at

the residence. During the investigation one of the residents, Creighton Koon, sold scheduled narcotics on two separate occasions.
On 5/13/2014 the Decatur Police Department Orgnaized Crime and Anti Crime Units executed a narcotics search warrant at 2303 Clearview Place SW. During the search of the home Creighton Koon was found to be in possession of drug paraphenalia. Koon’s mother, Cynthia Basham, was discovered to be in possession of a quantity of Suboxone.
Creighton Koon was arrested for two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ($10,500.00 total bond, of which $10,000.00 must be satisfied with cash only). Cynthia Basham was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance ($2,500.00 total bond). They were both taken to the Decatur City Jail and will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail.”
