DECATUR-SeaArk Boats, manufacturer of all-welded aluminum boats, will host its annual SeaArk Boats Owners Invitational Catfish Tournament either April 29 or April 30, 2022, on Wheeler Lake (official date to be announced April 27 based on weather conditions). The one day tournament is expected to attract as many as 400 anglers from across the United States to the River City.

Now in its eleventh year, the SeaArk Boats Owners Invitational is an opportunity for catfish anglers to compete for cash and prizes. Open to professional and amateur anglers, any SeaArk boat owner can participate no matter their experience level.

SeaArk pays out to the top 20 places. Teams that weigh-in at least one legal catfish (Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish or Flathead Catfish) are then entered into a drawing to win a brand new Sapphire Blue ProCat 200 with Red Amped Package, Marine Master trailer and Suzuki DF200ATX engine. SeaArk is also paying $500 to the winners of two additional awards — the Goose Egg award for a team that does not weigh-in a fish and the Lynn Lange award to the top finishing female angler.

Fishing hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Anglers may launch their boats from Ingalls Harbor beginning at 4:30 a.m. after a livewell check. There will be an organized blast off beginning at 6:30 a.m. Scales open at 10 a.m. with final weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 3:30 p.m. at Ingalls Harbor located at 802 Wilson Street NW. Take-offs and weigh-ins are open to the public with free admission.

On Wednesday night, April 27, 2022, event organizers will announce the official date of the tournament – either April 29 or 30 – on the SeaArk Owner’s Invitational Tournament Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SeaArkOwnersTournament) and on www.seaarkboats.com.
