Scotty Lynn McDonald, born September 24, 1962, left his earthly home on January 27, 2024. To know Scott was to know the life of the party. He always took care of his family and was an advocate for the preservation of history. Scott would keep you on your toes in conversation and pranks. He was a friend to everyone and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Scott McDonald was a true rock star.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 1 PM at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming and will be archived thereafter. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Reeves, Tyler Smith, Lonnie Smith, Chris Gann, Matt Gann, Britt Smith, and Byrant Hargrove.
He is survived by his wife, Lori McDonald, and children, Bradley Reeves (Megan), Amanda Reeves (Tyler), and Victorya McDonald (Lonnie); his grandchildren, Finnick Conner Reeves, Nola Belle Reeves, Trevor Elliot Smith, Dalton Leo Smith, and Dawsyn Wayne Sparks; and his siblings, Phillip McDonald (Leslie), Janice Gann, Judy Justice (Harold), and John Coleman (Casey).
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Hazel McDonald.
