A gathering of friends and family will be held for Scotty Lane McDowell, 55, will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2024 at Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.Scotty passed away on July 5, 2024 at his residence. He was born on February 5, 1969 to the late Jimmy Wayne and Betty Sue Bearden McDowell. He was a 1987 graduate of Alcorn Central High School. The day after graduation he signed up and served for the Mississippi National Guard. He was a carpenter and worked in construction. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his motorcycle and he loved his dogs.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Shane McDowell and nephew, Austin McDowell.
He is survived by his son, Dalton McDowell and fiancee Donna Parker; granddaughter, Clara Mae McDowell; brother, Steve McDowell; nephew, Candler McDowell and a host of other family and friends.
