Mr. Scottie Wilbanks of Hazel Green passed away on Thursday evening at home. He was 60. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, watching his son race go-karts, loved to work on cars in his garage., hot rods, and loved time with his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Annie B. Wilbanks; His brothers: David Wilbanks and Michael Wilbanks; His sisters, Judy Wilbanks Keller and Elizabeth Wilbanks.
Surviving family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Scottie Wilbanks & Maria Wilbanks; His son, J.R. Deen; His grandson, Jaxon Wilbanks; His brothers, Johnny Wilbanks, Jackie Wilbanks, Bob Wilbanks, and Bud Wilbanks; His sisters, Darlene Wilbanks, Sue Wilbanks, Betty Wilbanks
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at Noon at the funeral home with Bro. Winfred Stayton officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Stateline Cemetery.
