Scott Ross Gibson, 60, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Scott was born in Memphis, Tennessee. The family moved to Huntsville when he was a young child, where he lived throughout his life. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1980. He began working in the grocery industry as a bagger at the age of 15. This sparked his love of working with people and helping others. He worked with various companies in the grocery industry for the remainder of his adult life, as he grew and experienced working in different departments, until his retirement as a seafood clerk in 2020.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Gibson and Francine Ross Gibson. Survivors include his siblings, René Robinson and husband, Bob, Jim Gibson, and Marlo Bonduris and husband, Alex; nephews and nieces, Michael Akin and wife, Anna, John Robinson and wife, Ivy, Jane Frederick and husband, Adam, William Bonduris and Helen Bonduris; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 25 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
