A Celebration of Life service for Scott Mackin, 44 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery in Michie, TN. Bro. George Kyle will officiating the service with Jamie Luker, Ian and Jordan Mackin delivering the eulogies. Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 11:30 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mr. Mackin passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Walnut, MS. He was born December 20, 1979 in Tupelo to Timothy Howard Mackin and JoAnn Carroll McDonald. He was a factory worker and of the Christian faith. Scott was a man with a heart of gold and was always down for a task and a good competitive game of basketball. His love was even deeper for his family. Growing up as a child, he was always and forever will be, a momma’s boy. As for his sons, there wasn’t a thing he wouldn’t do for them. With his jokes to his contagious smile, he would light up the room in a flash. His sense of humor was unmatched and could make anyone laugh!! Never would he be a stranger to anyone. He strived to be the best he could be in everything that he did. Scott is survived by his sons, Ian Mackin, Jordan Mackin, Scout Mackin and Kash Mackin; his mother, JoAnn McDonald (Ricky); sisters, Tabitha Malone and Jolona Lambert (Robert Parker); step brothers, Tracy McDonald and Kevin McDonald (Manuhela); step sister, Brandi McDonald; nieces and nephews, Dillan Malone, Aiden Malone, Mallory Lambert, Andie Lambert, K.C. Hurst, Kaitlyn Hurst and Gracie McDonald; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Mackin; grandparents, Jim Lee and Winnie Mae Carroll and Howard and Evie Mackin and mother of Ian and Jordan, Alesha Harris. Pallbearers will be Josh Malone, Dillan Malone, Aiden Malone, Robert Parker, Jamie Luker and Kevin Fugitt. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Scott Mackin.
