Scott David Irvin – Obituary

Scott David Irvin was born on February 24, 1970 in Birmingham, Alabama. He died on April 2, 2018 at the age of 48.  He is survived by his parents; John and Sarah Irvin; one son, Preston; one brother, Phillip and his wife, Holly; two nieces; two great nephews; and two great nieces.

Scott lived his entire life in Alabama. He attended Monrovia elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from Sparkman High School.  He earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama Huntsville, and a master’s degree (EMBA) from Auburn University.

Scott worked for various companies in Huntsville and traveled all over the world with his work. When he died he was employed by the Rockwell Collins Company as senior engineer.

He grew up in the Monrovia community and benefitted greatly from the influence of this community and made some lifelong friendships. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 228 Mt. Zion Road, Huntsville, AL on Thursday, April 5 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive visitors at the church at 11:00 am.  Services will be conducted by Rev. Ernest Hill.
