CHEROKEE – Lots of folks turned out for Cherokee’s big Spring Cleaning event, associated with “Keep The Shoals Beautiful”. It started rather cool Saturday morning as folks began showing up at the “Lions Den”.
They were too busy getting their t-shirts on, collecting the plastic bags and whatnot for the day, that nobody seemed to notice the cool start. Mayor Tyler Cosby said, “This gives us a chance to come out and visit with each other as we clean up the place.”

The Quad-Cities Daily was there, as per usual taking photos. We present them here.

Our “Pick-up Trash Day” in Cherokee was a huge success. 52 people showed up to work and the weather could not have been better. Beautiful sunshine and mild temperatures, made the work easier. Workers completely filled the large dumpster supplied by the county. GOOD JOB CHEROKEE!
