Sarge Gregory, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Iuka Baptist Church. He was also retired from the United States Marine Corp, where he served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, and also as a drill instructor. He was an avid collector of many things, and enjoyed fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Saturday, August 25 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Dr. Ronnie Hatfield. Interment will follow in Burnsville Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 step son – Fred Counce, Sr. (Bobby) of Iuka; 1 step daughter – Phyllis Scarpace (Fred) of Memphis; 4 grandchildren – Jason Counce (Kristy) of Iuka; Fred Counce, Jr. (Lorie) of Iuka; Jeff Scarpace of Memphis; and Todd Scarpace (Julie) of Memphis; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Gregory, and 8 brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Fund.
