Sarah Rebecca Duncan Faught

Sarah Rebecca Duncan Faught died on July 10, 2024 at Diversicare-Eason Blvd. where she had briefly resided. She was 69 yrs old, looking forward to being 70 on August 4, 2024. Born Aug. 4, 1954 in Smithville, MS to the late Milas Jackson Duncan and Elsie Irene Robinson Duncan, she grew up in Detroit, Alabama and in the greater Amory, MS area. Often called Becky, she spent her working life as a seamstress at Reed Manufacturing in Tupelo where she had many friends and was a loyal worker. Known to have an encouraging personality, she moved to Tupelo in 1996. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sarah was a fulltime pioneer for many years and enjoyed spreading the good news of Jehovah’s Kingdom. She will be missed by her family and a wide circle of friends.

Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Tupelo. The time and date will be announced at a later date by Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo, who is honored to be serving their friends. Condolences may be emailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net.

Sarah is survived by her children, Becky Aliene Stockton (Jermaine) of Augusta, Ga., Marlon Ashley Frederick (Leslie) of Villa Rica, Ga., Petunia Ward (Tony, deceased) of Tupelo, and Penny Rebecca Garcia (Johnny) of Tupelo; 5 grandchildren, Phillip Ramsey, Lance Ward, Juan Garcia, Diego Garcia, and Raven Jade Frederick (deceased); a brother, Joseph Boyd Duncan (Judy) of Aberdeen, MS; and special friend and caregiver, Cherry Payne of Tupelo; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milas and Elsie Duncan, her husband, Alvis Faught who died in 2012, a son, Patrick Bagwell who died in 2003, and her siblings, Jimmy Duncan, Jake Duncan, Mary Anne Irving, and Irene Phillips.
