Sarah Nell Thomas Bean, age 84 of Dora, Alabama, passed away December 25, 2024 at her daughter’s residence.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Click and Rev. Ted Cook officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Cemetery in Adamsville Alabama.
Sarah attended Minor High School and Walker State Technical College. She was a nurse and worked many years caring for her patients. She retired to care for several family members, a job which she was very passionate about.
She was a wonderful cook and loved gardening. She was an excellent pianist and organist and served many years in her home church in Adamsville Alabama.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Vera; husband, Jack Bean; her brothers, Frank Thomas and Don Thomas.
Sarah is survived by her daughters, Jackie Bean Golden (Tommy), Jan Carlisle (Bert), Joan Bean Thomason (Tim) and son, Stephen Bean. She had 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
