Sarah Margaret Williams Avery, age 88 died Thursday, May 31, 2012. Visitation will be Sunday 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carter officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Avery was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Arthur and Nora Belle Pippin, and first husband, George F. Williams. She was a member and served as past president of VFW Post 4919 Women’s Auxillary.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Avery of Sheffield, son, Charlie Williams and wife Kathy of Muscle Shoals, daughters,Dolores King and husband Sonny of Muscle Shoals, Linda Nash and husband Gary of Falkville, stepdaughter, Vickie Burton and husband Billy of Tuscumbia, brother, William C.Bain, Jr. and wife Alice of Florence, sister, Louise Willis of Kingston, TN, eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be great grandsons.
