Sarah Lofton Jowers, 84, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Lexington. Mrs. Jowers, the widow of Fred Jowers, was born September 22, 1940, in Lexington, Tennessee, to the late Cecil Lofton and Rebecca Sego Steele. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Jowers is survived by two daughters: Debbie Vopel (Bill) and Denise Wilkerson; one brother, Gary Lofton (Brenda) of South Haven, Mississippi; two grandchildren: Erica McCaa, Kaylon Wilkerson; and four great grandchildren: Hunter, Aidan, Jonah, and Jackson.
Sarah’s kind and humble spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairview Church of Christ.
Visitation with the family will be at Pafford Funeral Home on Thursday, December 19, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, the funeral will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home.
