Sarah Jane Long Sullivan

Sarah Jane Long Sullivan, at age 73, departed this life in the early morning hours on Friday, November 4, 2022 from her home in Okolona after a brief illness. She was born in Okolona on August 16, 1949 to the late Frank and Etta Price Long. Sarah was an active and cherished member of First Baptist Church Okolona where she taught Sunday school for over 44 years. Sarah provided a safe haven for the children of Okolona at the skating rink which she owned and operated for over 10 years. She worked for Futorian furniture for over 35 years, later she retired from Okolona family dental office.

A service celebrating Sarah’s life will be held at 2PM Sunday, November 6, 2022 a First Baptist Okolona with Rev. Dr. Randy Lewman officiating. Visitation will be from 1PM-Service Time Sunday only at the church. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Patty Jolly (Scott) of Houston; her son, Jerry Sullivan of Okolona; her brother Frank James Long, Jr. of Okolona; her sisters, Wilma Earnest (James) of Shannon, Annette Posey (Donnie) of Smithville, her grandchildren Kelsey Bercegeay (Clint) of West Point, Blake Jolly (Chelsea), Meri Todd (Caleb) ; her great grandchildren Ava Jolly, Meri Scott Jolly, Remi Jolly and Cutter and Kolton Bercegeay.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Dorothy Raisio of Aurora, CO and Rebecca Stanford of Okolona, MS.
