Funeral services for Sarah Golden Mills, age 75, of Ashland will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Liberty Hill Church with Pastor Noah Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Mills was a native of Ashland and spent her entire life in Clay County. She was a Walmart associate for several years before retiring and a longtime member at Liberty Hill Church. She adored her family and loved to help others and was a faithful servant to the Lord. Sarah was a “Mrs. Fixit”, capable of shingling a roof, working on plumbing or sewing clothes. She loved to garden and fish and was a loyal friend to many.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Orville Mills; two daughters, Teresa Mills Watts husband Danny and Nancy LeAnn Mills Samsel husband Jeremy; three grandchildren, Sarah Friederich, Justin Samsel and Sommer White; brother, Gerald Smith; with several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Nancy Golden, two sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Samsel, Danny Watts, Justin Samsel, Austin White, Tim Smith and Glen Friedrich.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. before the service at Liberty Hill Church.
