Sarah Frances Dillworth Thiemonge

Sarah Frances Dillworth Thiemonge, 94, died Saturday. A native Huntsvillian, Sarah attended East Clinton Elementary, Huntsville Jr. High and Huntsville High School. She studied Interior Design at Auburn University where she met and fell in love with Tubber Thiemonge. She was a member of the Church of Nativity, the Grace Club Auxiliary and Kappa Delta sorority. She was a Gray Lady at Huntsville Hospital and a volunteer at the Cripple Children’s Clinic. She worked as a librarian at Lincoln School and Chaffee Elementary. Sarah loved to play tennis and was a member of the “Tuesday Girls” painting group and the “Sewing Club”.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Thiemonge; brother, William Penn Dillworth III and wife, Loreen; and nephew, Walter Ivy Dillworth.
Survivors include daughter, Susie Thiemonge; son, Jack Thiemonge (Chong Suk); grandchildren, Julia Glenn Thiemonge, Michelle Elizabeth Vanzo, Amy Marie Vanzo; great-grandson, Paul Asher LeMan; and nephew Penn Dillworth (Angie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Nativity.
