Sarah Elizabeth Bradford, age 85 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin County on December 26, 1935 to the late John Frances and Fannie Jane (Sims) McKinney. Before her retirement, she had been employed by the Franklin County School System for over twenty years. She was passionate about cooking, especially her homemade biscuits and vegetable soup and preparing big meals for her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and gardening, but Sarah cherished most the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Decherd Christian Center and will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, always making sure her family was taken care of. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clarence, Johnny, Martha, Pauline, Raymond, and Marie; husband, Virgil Bradford; and son, Hershel Leon Bradford. Sarah is survived by her loving children, Geraldine (A.C.) Stephens of Decherd, Larry Bradford of Winchester, and Bobby Ray (Debbie) Bradford of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Chance, Rusty Leon Bradford, Tracy (Thomas) Parker, Jeremy Stephens, Matthew Stephens, Belinda Brown, and Anna Lemons; great-grandchildren, Bailey Chance, Katelyn Chance, Chelsea (Travis) McCarver, Joshua (Jamie) Hill, Kaleb Stephens, Seth Stephens, Thomas (Cortney) Brown, Jenna Brown, Bryant Brown, Hunter Lemons, Chyanne Lemons, Lillian Lemons, and Caydon Bradford; great-great-grandchildren, Benen Hill, and Thomas Brown; siblings, Bertha, Sally, Lilly, Henry, and Walt; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2:30 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Johnny Turner officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
