sarahReynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Sarah C. Johnson, 85 of Hartselle, Alabama. Mrs. Johnson died February 8, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital- Decatur General Campus. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:30 p.m., Hartselle First Missionary Baptist Church in Hartselle, Alabama with Pastor Billy Ray Young, officiating, interment in Hartselle Cemetery. The body will lie in repose 1 hour before the service.

Sarah C. Johnson was born to the late J.D. Gibson and the late Vera Walker Gibson on March 29, 1929 in Hartselle,l Alabama. She was the only child of this union. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Gail Johnson and a great-gradson, Infant Rashad Brown.

Sarah departed this life on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Decatur Morgan Hospital while surrounded by family and friends. She confessed Christ at an early age, and became a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Hartselle, until God called her home. She was a graduate of the Morgan County Training School in Hartselle, AL. Sarah has been self-employed for most of her adult life.

She is survived by one son, Marvin L (Donna) Johnson, Jr., of Fairfield,l AL; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Johnson of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Roger Orr of Dothan, AL, Tanisha Johnson, Tiara Johnson of Huntsville, AL, Shanice Johnson of Decatur, DaMarcus Washington of Fairfield, AL and Tanesha Brown of Birmingham, AL; seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, one foster grandson, four extended family grandchildren. Special friends, Betty Gill, Edith Williams, Gena Orr, Van Gill and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to Caregivers, Ms. Betty Sue and Rhonda Roden, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Gladish.

Active Pallbearers are: Charlie Pointer, Willie Garner, Walter Peterson, Gary Orr, Willie Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of the Church.

Flower Bearers are: Christine Billing, Inez Pointer, Felicia White, Idell Orr, Jackie Wright and Gracie Orr. Honorary Flower Bearers are: Mothers of the Church.
