  Sarah Annette TurnerSarah Annette Turner, 85, of Athens, passed away on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Turner was born on November 25th, 1938, in Elkton, TN, to Milburn and Ruby (Scruggs) Holley.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her daughter Sarah Ivey (David); sons Tracey Turner (Rebecca) and Lewis Turner (Beverly); grandchildren Monica Wonzy (Paul), Michael Turner (Treva), Zachery Turner, Avrie Turner, Laekyn Turner; great-grandchild Dakato Turner; and sisters Dorothy Turner and Patricia Adams.

She is preceded in death by her parents Milburn and Ruby Holley; husband Lewis Turner, Sr.; great-grandchild Lewis Andrew Ivey; and daughter Teresa Turner.

Funeral services for Mrs. Turner will be Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Martin, David Turner, James Turner, Doug Baldwin, Joe Moss, and Ronnie Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Avrie Turner, Laekyn Turner, Dakota Turner. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner enjoyed sewing. She liked to rake the yard and loved her yard looking pristine. She also loved to cook. Mrs. Turner was a member of New Bethel Baptist, and she taught the ladies class and attended the women’s Bible study.
