Sara Stout Spires, 71, of Sheffield, passed away Dec. 26, 2013. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. The service will be graveside on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Troy Fisher will be officiating. Mrs. Spires was a member of Hook Street Baptist Church and former member of Colbert County Rescue Squad.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Ethel Stout; son, Thomas Spires; grandson, Terry Spires; and great-granddaughter, Bella Miller.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy J. Spires; son, Harold Spires(Elesia); and daughters, Marjorie Jones (Tommy), Betty Trussell (Tim), and Dorothy Duncan (Jimmy).
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
