Sara Katherine “Katie” Denson, 44, of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was a licensed esthetician and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Katie was a faithful prayer warrior.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DeKalb County Children’s Advocacy Center or the Gathering Place, PO Box 680173, Fort Payne, AL 35968.
She is survived by her husband Shane Denson, son Gideon Denson, parents Pam and Larry Hancock, sisters and brothers Keri Garrett (Wayne), Jonathan Watts (Jacey), Brittany King, Todd Hancock, Tanya Adams (Kevin), and Aaron McDaniel; grandmother Edna Inman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Watts.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
