Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Sara Evelyn Conniff 87, are set for 10:00 am Saturday at St. James The Less Catholic Church with Father Mario Solórzano officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens.

Family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 at McPeters Inc. funeral Director and Saturday 30 minutes before the service at St. James.

Evelyn died July 20, 2021 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab. She was born January 11, 1934 in Hardin Co. TN to the late James and Effie Harbert. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, a 1952 graduate of Corinth High School, were she was Miss CHS. She later attended Memphis State College and received her teaching degree. While in Memphis, she met her late husband Daniel Conniff, Sr., who was a career Marine. After they married, she moved with him to different stations throughout his Marine career. After his retirement, they settled back in Corinth. She taught and retired from Pickwick Southside School in Counce, TN. After her retirement, she went on worked at Caterpillar. She was a Eucharistic minister, visiting nursing homes and shut-ins. For many years, she taught adult literacy at the Corinth Library, but most of all she enjoyed spending time win this family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Conniff Sr.; parents; sister, Edith Harbert Norman; infant brother, James Harbert; uncle Harley Hight.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Conniff, Stephen Conniff; granddaughter, Sara Ann Conniff and a great grandson, Jeremy; her nephew, David Norman and his family; and a host of cousins, in-laws, family and friends. Special friends; Doris Hathcock, Brenda Childs, and the late Miller Childs, and the late Dora Berry and Gloria Freeze, and all her friends from Caroline and Holley Streets.

Pallbearers, Stan Pearce, Mike Hammer, Fred Gooch, Bill Reiselt, Kirk Peeples, Ray Rafidi. Honorary pallbearers Alton Weeks, Bill Alexander, Kevin Smith, Joey Alexander, David Diaz-Barriga, Roy McClung, Joe Dwyer and John D. Mercier.
