Sara Elizabeth Plasterer left us suddenly on December 20th in Birmingham, Alabama. Born into a long line of Huntsvillians, she graduated from Huntsville High School in 2009 and attended The University of Alabama, where she studied business management. Her greatest joys in life were Alabama football, listening to music, and watching reality tv. In 2017, she found new joy when she became a loving and devoted mom to Graham Denver with his father, Tyler Elsberry. She is survived by her son; her parents, Dave and Jan; her sister, Aly; her grandmothers, Charlotte Sanders (of Huntsville) and Erma Jean Plasterer (of Richmond, Indiana), and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will all miss her more than can be stated here. She was preceded by her grandfathers, Denver Anderson and Edward Plasterer, and her great-grandmother, Ruby Lilian Hawkins. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 28 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Huntsville Humane Society or ASPCA on Sara’s behalf, inspired by her dedication to all things in need of a second chance.
