Sara Dean Thomas Ferguson was born in Coal Valley in Walker County on June 21, 1931. She passed away Thursday April 20, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of Burnwell Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday April 23, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Burnwell Baptist Church. Mrs. Ferguson will be in state beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wayne Ferguson, Rev. Tommy Ferguson, and Rev. Herbert Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday April 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Williams Malcom “Mac” Ferguson; children, Pastor Wayne Ferguson (Vicki); Janice Marcrum (Charles); Pastor Tommy Ferguson (Connie); and Carol Bonds, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and brother, Rev. Herbert Thomas (Virginia).
