Sandra “Sandy” McCarver Ikner, 73 of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on March 10, 2023, after a brief illness. She was the daughter or Lloyd and Lorene McCarver of Huntsville, Alabama, wife of Jerald Ikner for over 53 years, mother of Christopher, and proud and loving Mimi of her grandson, Phoenix.
Sandy worked as a paralegal and retired to spend her time with the love of her life, Jerald. She enjoyed reading, games and spending time with family. She was most proud to be the Mimi of her only grandson Phoenix whom she doted over.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lorene McCarver, brother, Randy McCarver, Uncle Luther and Aunt Emme McCarver, and her beloved family pet, Pepe Blossom of Mobile, Alabama. She is survived by her husband Jerald; son, Christopher (Jessica); grandson, Phoenix; and first cousin, June Golden.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
