Sandra M. Wilton, 70, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. Sandy was born August 4, 1946 to Elbert and Minnie Robertson in Guys, Tennessee. She married Melvin Wilton on December 16, 1967 in Creston, IL. Sandy is preceded in death by twin brothers: Arthur and Raymond Robertson; sister, Mary Helen Meier and infant siblings: Alvin and Jeanette Robertson.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Melvin of Rochelle; two sons: Melvin (Christina) Wilton and Donald Wilton both of Rochelle; brother, Marlin Robertson of Elizabeth, IL; two sisters: Nellie Smith of Ramer, TN and Alice Murphy of Rochelle, IL; six grandchildren: Samantha, Rachel, Melvin, Matthew, Robert and Melanie; and two great grandchildren: Cheyenne and Scarlett Johnson.
The visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. There will be an additional visitation at Shackelford Funeral Directors, 160 West Cypress Ave., Selmer, TN from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 15, 2017. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Selmer. Burial is at Indian Creek Cemetery in Ramer, Tennessee. A memorial has been established.
