Sandra Kay Sandlin, 73, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born August 19, 1950 to Bobbie Nell Barnes Hite and Melvin Jumper. Sandy graduated from Zion Benton Township High School in 1968. She worked at the White Top Cafe, Charm Step, and the Fulton Grammar School as a teacher assistant. Sandy was a member of Dorsey Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Women’s on Missions director, Vacation Bible School director, and on multiple committees.
A private family service was held on Monday, May 6, 2024. Burial at Itawamba Memorial Garden. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter Melissa (Duane) Cayson; grandsons Clay and Cody Cayson; sisters Diane (Frank) Ayers and Jami (Darryl) Estes; stepchildren Alicia O’Dell and Joey Sandlin; step grandchildren Zechariah Sandlin, Austin Sandlin, Samantha Crumb, and Fankie Crumb.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Sandlin; and her parents
