Funeral Services for Mrs. Sandra Jane Adams, age 80 of Painesville Ohio, formerly of Delta, will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Turk Holt officiating. Burial will follow at the Delta Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Harpersfield, Ohio. She was born on July 15, 1944 in Bellaire, OH to the late Judd and Ethel (Parker) Hendershot. Sandy was a 1962 graduate of Shadyside High School. She also graduated from Lakeland Community College in 1982 with her two daughters.
Sandy enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, nature, and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid NASCAR racing fan, and her favorite driver was #3, Dale Earnhardt. She loved going to the Talladega Speedway. She enjoyed going to wineries with her daughters and grandchild to paint and make crafts. Her most memorable concert was seeing Keith Urban. Mrs. Adams always went to South Harpersfield United Methodist Church to make quilts with her friends and attend services. On June 30, 1962, Sandy married Ronald Edward Adams and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2013.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughters: Beverly (Lewis) DeSalvo of Harpersfield, Ohio and Michelle (Johnathan) McFadden of Madison, Ohio; her grandchild, Ashley McFadden and many nieces and nephews. Sandy dearly loved her special friends: Isabelle Craig, Barbara Collins, Sherry Drummond, Bruce and Barbara Shrades, Sonny and Diane Clark, and Joanne Pykonen.
In addition to her late parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard and Ronald Hendershot, and sister in law, Norma Trexler.
Her family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville, 89076 Hwy 9 in Lineville on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
