Sandra Dee Dickerson, 71, of Killen, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home following an extended illness. Visitation will begin at noon today at Greenview Funeral Home with the service at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Mike Nabors will officiate. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dickerson was born in Rabbits Flat, Kentucky, to the late Myrtle Lee Goins and James Lawrence Goins. She was the retired owner of Dickerson’s Water Gardens and a member of Gray’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was a brother, Larry Joe Goins. She is survived by her husband, Charles Dickerson; sons, Joey Moody (Tonya) and Kenny Moody (Debbie); daughter, Dana Smith (Brian Murray); brothers, Ronnie Goins and Jimmy Goins; sisters, Faith Nesbitt and Wanda Richardson; grandchildren, Whitney Petty, Kyle Moody, Tanner Moody, Hunter Moody, Madison Kimbrough, Cody Smith and Cory Smith; great-grandchildren, Brody Donaldson, Emory Petty, Ross Smith, Ridge Moody.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Moody, Kyle Moody, Tanner Moody, Cody Smith, Cory Smith, Hagan Dickerson, Slade Dickerson and Eric Newbern.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Keller Landing, Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home and Hospice of the Shoals for all the special care and love they expressed to Sandra and our family over the past several months.
