Samuel “Sam” Hillin Petty, age 33, of Seaside, Oregon, died Monday, September 11, 2023, at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
Sam was born June 21, 1990, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Jerry and Betsy Petty of Lewisburg. He was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed online gaming with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Margaret Petty and J. C. and Madeline Hillin.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Melissa (Vance) Tankersley all of Lewisburg; one nephew, Spence Tankersley; special friends Justin Shields, Erin Jones, and Lily Eglanter all of Seaside, Oregon, and Josh Rhea of Nashville.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1120 Powell Lane, Lewisburg, TN, starting at 2:00 pm.
