Samuel Douglas “Sam” Alexander, 74, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Muscle Shoals. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church, with Frankie Rainey and Chad Holder officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Sam was a member of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his father, James Douglas Alexander; mother, Mary Jo Alexander; sister, Sara Jo Alexander; son-in-law, Mark Lee Scott; and daughter-in-law, Danielle Alexander.
Sam is survived by his wife of thirty years and the mother of his children, Wanda Boatwright Alexander; children, Brian Alexander and Beth Scott; grandchildren, Whitney Scott Balentine (Chris), Alex Scott Tailor), Rachel Scott Segers (Thomas), Kaden Alexander, Dylan Alexander (Bella), and Ian Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Cole and Callie Balentine, and Clyde Scott.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
