Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Rhodes, age 74, are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2016 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Rev. Billy Allegood officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Enville. Mr. Rhodes passed away early Tuesday at his home in Scotts Hill. He was born January 22, 1942 in Decatur County to the late Ernest Edgar and Lucille Laster Rhodes. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U. S. Army and a Mason. He retired in 2012 as owner of Rhodes Heating and Air. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Dianne Rhodes; his daughter, Robbie Montgomery; one granddaughter, Rachel Montgomery; two brothers, Charles Rhodes and Earl Rhodes (Janice); and three sisters, Mary Ann Woody (Doc), Peggy Coates (Meredith); and Kay Rickman.
