Obituary of Sammy CrumServices to celebrate the life of Sammy Crum, 74, will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at Hatchie Chapel with burial in the Hatchie Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Mercer will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM until service time all at Hatchie Chapel.

Sammy passed away on October 23, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Alcorn County on February 8, 1949 to the late George B. and Pauline Bass Crum. He was an industrial electrician and retired from the IBEW. He was a member of Hatchie Chapel and loved being outside on his tractor and riding his grandkids and great-grandkids around on his side by side.

He is survived by his daughter, Kalynn Childers; son, Glen Crum (Lisa); grandchildren, Colton Crowell (Jessica), Cacey Crowell (Courtney), Cara WIlliams (Malique), Ryan Williford, Kylan Crum (Michelle) and Kayla Crum; great-grandchildren, Riley Hardin, Ashley Crowell, Remi Kae Williams, Rhylan WIlliams, Kip Williams, Breken Crowell, Silas Crowell and Mackson Gobbell; brothers, Jimmy Crum (Cloyce); sisters, Paulette Strickland and Carolyn Moore; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior and Danny Crum and sisters, Faye Moore and Gertha Null.

Bro. Ronnie Mercer will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be: Danny Mathis, Shane Spencer, David Porterfield, Malique Williams, Clifford Porterfield, Shelby Crum and honorary pallbearer will be Harold Wilbanks.
