Samaria Jane Mcdonald Kilzer, 91, resident of Falkner, went to be with her Lord on July 27, 2023, at Diversicare of Ripley.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Mrs. Kilzer will be 2 PM, Saturday July 29, 2023, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro Ronnie Barefield and Bro. Kody Moore officiating. Visitation will be 1 PM until Service Time. Burial will follow in the Falkner Cemetery.

Mrs. Kilzer was born September 27, 1931, in New Albany to the late J. D. and Ophelia Wood Mcdonald. She received her education in the Union County Public School System and continued her education from Northeast Community College. She worked with the Falkner Preschool and was employed as a secretary with Tippah Electric for 30 years until her retirement.

A Christian and member of Unity Baptist Church, Mrs. Kilzer was a firm believer in her savior and had a true servant’s heart. She was full of life and in earlier years enjoyed dancing, camping, and riding with her husband to look at horses in Falkner. She was devoted to serving the Lord and always looked forward to worshiping at church. Mrs. Kilzer lived a long fruitful and purpose filled life and will be remembered most for her generous smile, caring personality, and Christ-like love for everyone.

Those left to cherish memories include one brother, Jimmy McDonald, three grandchildren, Tyler Hill (Paige), Miranda Newby (Kerry), and Brittney Hill, seven great-grandchildren, and special friends, Jean Butler, Penny Robertson, and Sanford Churchill.

She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Boyce Hill and Claude Kilzer, and two sons, Glenn and Johnny Hill.
