Mrs. Sally Smith Mitchell of Pulaski passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Stella, TN on September 15, 1916 and was 100 years old.
She loved making photos with her husband Guy Mitchell. She was a nursery worker at First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved caring for others and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with the Over 50’s Club.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 11:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bill Garner Foster and Mark Alan Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stella Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to go to Compassus Hospice % 726 N. Locust Ave. 2nd Floor Suit B or to the Stella Cemetery Fund % Sandra Parsons 2835 Hagan Rd. Minor Hill, TN 38473.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Mitchell, parents, Thomas Riley and Bertha Smith, daughter Gloria Jeanette Mitchell, son, Guy Darrell Mitchell, and beloved dog, Daisy.
She is survived by her,
Daughter, Nancy (Joe) Randolph of Columbia, TN
Son, Tony (Charlotte) Mitchell of Pulaski, TN
4 Grandchildren
4 Great-grandchildren
Special caregiver, Christy Jones
Several nieces and nephews also survived.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Sally Smith Mitchell.
