Sallie Ruth Colbert Johnson, 75 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born on July 8th, 1947, in Huntsville, to Rufus Tilton Colbert and Lena Bowden Colbert.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters Connie Waddell and Kimberly Elliott (Carlton); grandchildren Kari Eaton (Tyler), Ethan Elliott, Cortney Waddell, Michelle Waddell (Jim Wilson), and Benjamin Waddell; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband James G. Johnson; and her brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 31st, 2023, at 2:00pm at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, with Steve Olney officiating. Pallbearers will be Carlton Elliott, Benjamin Waddell, Tyler Eaton, Jim Wilson, Ryan Beam, and Ethan Elliott.
Mrs. Johnson loved watching her birds and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
